Good Friday is not the last word
“Why look among the dead for someone who is alive? He is not here; he has risen.”Luke 24:5–6
Many people who come to this site are living in a long Holy Saturday: the worst has happened, and nothing seems to be moving. The body is in the tomb. Prayers feel unanswered.
But the disciples’ grief on that Saturday was not the end of the story. The stone was already waiting to be rolled away. God was working in the silence.
If you are in your own Holy Saturday, you are not forgotten. The same Lord who walked out of the grave walks toward you. Your cross is real — and so is the Resurrection.
A short prayer
Risen Lord, meet me in my silent Saturday. Roll away the stone that I cannot move. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.
